چکیده

Renormalization constants of vector (ZV ) and axial-vector (ZA) currents are determined non-perturbatively in quenched QCD for an RG-improved gauge action and a tadpole-improved clover quark action using the Schrödinger functional method. Meson decay constants fρ and fπ show much better scaling when ZV and ZA estimated for infinite physical volume are used instead of Z-factors from tadpole-improved one-loop perturbation theory.

Non-perturbative renormalization of the static vector current and its O(a)-improvement in quenched QCD LPHA

We carry out the renormalization and the Symanzik O(a)-improvement programme for the static vector current in quenched lattice QCD. The scale independent ratio of the renormalization constants of the static vector and axial currents is obtained non-perturbatively from an axial Ward identity with Wilson-type light quarks and various lattice discretizations of the static action. The improvement c...

Pion decay constant for the Kogut-Susskind quark action in quenched lattice QCD

We present a study for the pion decay constant fπ in the quenched approximation to lattice QCD with the Kogut-Susskind (KS) quark action, with the emphasis given to the renormalization problems. Numerical simulations are carried out at the couplings β = 6.0 and 6.2 on 323 × 64 and 483 × 64 lattices, respectively. The pion decay constant is evaluated for all KS flavors via gauge invariant and no...

Nucleon axial charge from quenched lattice QCD with domain wall fermions

Abstract We present a quenched lattice calculation of the nucleon isovector vector and axial-vector charges g V and g A . The chiral symmetry of domain wall fermions makes the calculation of the nucleon axial charge particularly easy since the Ward-Takahashi identity requires the vector and axialvector currents to have the same renormalization, up to lattice spacing errors of order O(a2). The D...

Quark masses and the chiral condensate with a non-perturbative renormalization procedure

We determine the quark masses and the chiral condensate in the MS scheme at NNLO from Lattice QCD in the quenched approximation at β = 6.0, β = 6.2 and β = 6.4 using both the Wilson and the tree-level improved SW-Clover fermion action. We extract these quantities using the Vector and the Axial Ward Identities and nonperturbative values of the renormalization constants. We compare the results ob...

New Results From Lattice QCD: Non–Perturbative Renormalization and Quark Masses

For the first time, we compute non–perturbatively, i.e. without lattice perturbation theory, the renormalization constants of two–fermion operators in the quenched approximation at β = 6.0, 6.2 and 6.4 using the Wilson and the tree–level improved SW–Clover actions. We apply these renormalization constants to fully non–perturbatively estimate quark masses in the MS scheme from lattice simulation...
